Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday said the government will ensure that the people involved in burning the tri colour are brought to justice.

Terming the incident as unacceptable, Sangma told reporters after the MDA meeting that he had discussed the matter with the home minister Lahkmen Rymbui and the Director General of Police (DGP).

“This is unacceptable and we will not let this go easily,” he said while informing that a suo-moto case has been registered by the police against the video posted on social media.

Stating that technology is available to identify the culprits, the chief minister said, “We will ensure the people who have disrespected the flag of the country will not go scot free and are brought to justice.”
