The state government has decided to close down all entry points to the state in the first week of every month from September to November.

Informing this here on Thursday, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said, “We have decided that to close down the entry points set up by the state government from 1st of September up to 7th of September means every 1st week of every month for three months up to November.”

He said the decision was taken to reduce the pressure on the frontline workers who are posted at the designated entry points and the need to go for sanitisation.

“Therefore, I request those returnees to kindly bear with the decision of the government taking into consideration of the burden that we have, by not coming back from 1st to the 7th of every month till November, entering to the state of Meghalaya,” Tynsong said.
