    As precautionary measure against the contagion Covid-19 in the State, the Meghalaya Government ordered that there shall be no inter-state or inter district plying of buses, tourist taxi or sumo from 23 March till 31 March 2020.

    The District Transport Officers of all Districts are directed to ensure strict compliance and no inter district or inter district plying of any public transport vehicle ie Buses, Maxi Cabs, Tourist Taxi etc.

    The Government felt that is imperative to restrict the use of public transport Meghalaya all over the State including inter-state operations to contain the spread of COVID-19.

    According to this order, it imply that there will be no tourist vehicles plying from various district headquarter to Shillong or vice versa.
