The state government is open to have a dialogue with the proscribed Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) provided that they give up their unlawful activities.

This was informed by the Governor Tathagata Roy while addressing during the first day of the Assembly’s budget session here on Friday.

Stating that militancy in the state is completely under control, Roy said with very few cadres based in Bangladesh, the HNLC’s activities are confined to issuing press releases and postings in social media.
