  • Govt finding ways to clear Rs 5115.45 lakh pending dues to SSA teachers

    Minister in-charge Education, Lahkmen Rymbui on Friday said the state government is finding ways and means to clear the pending dues of the SSA teachers in the state. 

    “We are working out as to how to clear the pending dues. However, I cannot say when as it will depend on the availability of funds,” Rymbui said while replying to a query raised by Umroi legislator George Lyngdoh in the Assembly.

    The minister informed that arrear salary due to enhancement of salary with effect from April 1, 2016 amounting to Rs 8951.39 lakh was payable. 

    Of this, Rs 3835.94 lakh was paid to the the SSA teachers and the balance of RS 5115.45 lakh is pending for payment, he said. 

    The minister also informed that the government has also utilized from the corpus funds for clearing the pending dues when release of funds by the Centre is delayed.

    He further assured to look into the alleged delay by the school managing committee to transfer the salary of the teachers.

      The government is taking interested only the SSA teacher why not the other like adhoc and fourth teacher who still receiving a low standard salary
