Deputy Chief Minister in-charge PWD (Roads) Prestone Tynsong on Thursday said the department has already cancelled the work order issued to contractors, who made undue delay to complete PMGSY projects under Mendipathar constituency.

There are six numbers of in-complete PMGSY projects under the constituency, Tynsong said while replying to a query raised by AITC MLA Marthon Sangma in the Assembly.

Out of this, two projects – 1.35 to Chipakram and T06 to (Matchakol) Dimit Aga – have re-allotted in January 2022 and two others – T01 to Gambil Apal and T06 to Dangra Songma – where the process of retender evaluation is on, he informed.

He said two projects – 1.21 to Galwanga and 1,023-Bangsi Apal is Cheran via Bangsi Dogru – are in progress.

He said that the main reason for delay of these projects is mainly due to slow performance of contractors.

Accordingly, work orders to such contractors have been cancelled, Tynsong added.
