Governor of Meghalaya hosts Republic Day “At Home” reception

The Governor of Meghalaya, C.H. Vijayashankar, hosted the traditional “At Home” reception at Raj Bhavan, Shillong, on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day. The event witnessed the participation of dignitaries, officials, and prominent citizens from various sectors, reflecting a sense of camaraderie and national pride.

Governor Vijayashankar presented awards to the winners of the Flower Show, which has now become a significant calendar event at Raj Bhavan. The celebration was further enriched by cultural performances from various states and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), adding charm to the occasion.

In his address, Governor Vijayashankar expressed gratitude to all participants and attendees, acknowledging their role in making the Republic Day celebrations a grand success. He reaffirmed the significance of Republic Day as a reminder of the enduring values enshrined in the Constitution.
