Governor inaugurates girl’s hostel at NEHU, Tura

The Hon’ble Governor of Meghalaya, Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) today visited the North Eastern Hill University Campus in Tura, where he was received by the vice-chancellor of the university. 

During his visit, the Hon’ble Governor virtually inaugurated a ninety-four room, double-bedded girls’ hostel within the premises of the university. 

Subsequently, student entrepreneurs presented their ideas to the Governor about starting their own businesses and scaling them to become profitable.

Later in the day, district officials from West Garo Hills and the Hon’ble Governor held a brief discussion about the developments in the district.
