    The Save Hynniewtrep Mission or the SHM on Friday give two months to the sixty MLA to meet their demands failing which the SHM will start anti MLA campaign against them for the Ri and the jaidbynriew are bigger than them, said HYC President Robertjune Kharjahrin.

    Kharjahrin told a gathering of SHM members and local people in a public meeting held at Iawmusiang Jowai after a rally from Mih Myntdu to Iawmusiang.

    The rally saw the turnout of almost 500 members from JSM, EJNC, HYC and HANM under the banner of SHM walking from Mih Myntdu to Iawmusiang with shouting of slogans. The rally witnessed large police force accompanying the rally and also deployment in all sensitive areas.

    He blasted the 60 MLAs for being insincere and indifferent to the cause of the people and the state as if they are sincere then all of them would have gone to Delhi and protest.

    JSM President Leninstar Rymbai said that the stumbling block for ILP, constitutional recognition of Khasi language and reservation policy are the Garo brethren. He justified that ILP facing hiccups for it was repeal in Garo Hills and Meghalaya Govt is silent on reservation policy fearing agitation from Garo hills.

    He asked the Government of Meghalaya to materialize their demands or make Khasi Jaintia states.

    Other who spoke included CORP President B Ryntathiang, EJNC President S Lyngdoh, HANM President S Suchen and UHM President C Rani.
