General Holiday declared in Garo Hills

The Government of Meghalaya has declared the 12th of April 2021 as a general holiday throughout the Garo Hills Districts on account of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council General Elections 2021.

Employees working in other districts of the state who are electors in the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council’s constituencies will be granted special leave.

Industrial undertakings or any establishment governed by the NI Act 1881, shops and those who work on a shift basis, daily wages, and casual workers, including those working outside the constituency, who are voters in the above constituencies, shall be entitled to a paid holiday.
