    The Centre Administrator, One Stop Centre (OSC), Ganesh Das Maternal & Child Health Hospital, Shillong has informed that the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India, through Nirbhaya Fund implement the One Stop Centre (OSC) Scheme to cater aggrieved women and children facing violence all under one roof.

    On reviewing the crime data against women and children in Meghalaya, the Centre Administrator has informed that the centre is developing a comprehensive preventive strategy to address the issue concerning the safety and security of women and children.

    According to the Centre Administrator, the scheme will helps in building a Cross, Multi- Sectoral, Gender-Sensitive Approach to Violence against Women in Meghalaya and said that it would enable the general public to recognise the critical issues of violence and other forms of gender based discriminations that women continue to suffer in society.

    To access the services of the centre, the general public can visit the Office of the One Stop Centre (OSC), located at Ganesh Das Maternal & Child Health Hospital, Lawmali, Shillong.  (MIPR)
