Four injured in Keating blast triggered by flammable spray can liquid

At least four people were injured in a blast occurred inside one of the scrap shops in Keating Road, Shillong here on Sunday.

The incident took place at around 1 pm. Out of the four injured, two are employees of the scrap shops and two others were people sitting inside a babber shop next to the scrap shop.

Police along with the fire and emergency service along with bomb squad and K-9 rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.

Meanwhile, East Khasi Hills SP Sylvester Nongtnger said the blast in a scrap shop at Keating road is caused by inflammable liquid from spray cans while the workers were breaking the cans and smoking at the small enclosed place.
