Former Tata Motors chief Ravi Kant joins Royal Global University advisory board

The Assam Royal Global University (RGU) has announced the appointment of renowned industry leader Ravi Kant to its Advisory Board. A former managing director and vice chairman of Tata Motors, Kant brings decades of high-impact leadership to the university’s strategic vision.
Kant played a pivotal role in transforming Tata Motors, overseeing milestones like the acquisition of Jaguar Land Rover and the launch of the Tata Nano. An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and Aston University, he has also made significant contributions to India’s industrial policies through senior roles in national bodies, including the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
Currently, he serves on the boards of IIM Rohtak, IIIT Allahabad, and Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital, and has been affiliated with the University of Warwick. His global outlook and focus on sustainable innovation are expected to add significant value to RGU’s academic and social mission.
