Former activist to lead new party in Garo Hills
A former activist turned politician is all set to lead a new regional political party in Garo Hills region.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Kingstone Bolwari said that the party’s name will be declared soon.
Stating that the party will also be contesting the upcoming elections to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC), Bolwari said the main agenda for the election will be against corruption.
The other agendas include the need to strengthen the GHADC, demand for more autonomy with more powers and functions and restore it for the betterment of the Garo society, he added.
