First Khasi Lady IPS officer appointed as Special DGP of Meghalaya Police
The Meghalaya Government on Thursday has promoted the first Khasi lady IPS officer and Additional Director General of Police (SB) Idashisha Nongrang to the rank of Special Director General of Police, of Meghalaya Police.
In a notification issued, Idashisha Nongrang, IPS(RR:1992), Additional Director General of Police(SB), Meghalaya, Shillong is promoted to officiate in the Above Super Time Scale in the rank of Director General in the Level 16(HAG+) of the Pay Matrix with effect from 01.01.2022.
M. Kharkrang, IPS(SPS 2009), Inspector General, Prisons, Meghalaya, Shillong is promoted to officiate in the Selection Grade of the Senior Scale in the Level 13 of the Pay Matrix with effect from 01.01.2022. On promotion and on the recommendation of the Civil Services Board (CSB), M. Kharkrang, IPS is allowed to continue as Inspector General, Prisons, Meghalaya, Shillong
The notification also read that Rituraj Ravi, IPS(RR 2013), Superintendent of Police, South Garo Hills, Baghmara is promoted to officiate in the Junior Administrative Grade of the Senior Scale in the Level 12 of the Pay Matrix with effect from 01.01.2022.
On promotion and on the recommendation of the Civil Services Board (CSB), Rituraj Ravi, IPS is allowed to continue as the Superintendent of Police, South Garo Hills, Baghmara.
The following IPS Officers are promoted to officiate in the Senior Time Scale of the Senior Scale in the Level 11 in the Pay Matrix with effect from 01.01.2022: Vikash Kumar, IPS(RR:2018) and Dara Aswaghosh, IPS(RR:2018)
On promotion and on recommendation of the Civil Services Board(CSB), Vikash Kumar, IPS(RR:2018) is transferred and posted as the Additional Superintendent of Police, West Garo Hills District, Tura against the existing vacancy while Dara Aswaghosh, IPS(RR:2018) is transferred and posted as the 2nd in-Command, 24 MLP Bn, Goeragre, West Garo Hills, Tura against the existing vacancy.
