    The first covid-19 positive case has been reported in West Jaintia Hills District on Wednesday.

    Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said the person had returned from Uttar Pradesh recently.
    He said altogether the active cases has increased to 17 in the state.

    “A resident of Meghalaya who had returned from Agra, Uttar Pradesh has tested positive for COVID-19. Person is under quarantine in Jowai, West Jaintia Hills District.

    The total positive cases is 31 while total Active cases 17, total Recovered is and total Deceased is 1
