Expert Committee convened first meeting on Meghalaya State Reservation Policy

The Expert Committee on the Review of State Reservation Policy, Meghalaya which was constituted vide Notification NO. PER(AR) 49/2023/PT/3 Dated the 12th September,2023 under the chairmanship of Justice(Retired) Mool Chand Garg, held its first physical meeting in the State Capital at Shillong on March 8 in the preseence of senior officials of the Government of Meghalaya.

Prior to this the committee had various rounds of virtual meetings. Thereafter, the Chairman and the Members  visited the Office of  the Expert Committee located in the Office Building of the Assistant Commissioner of Food and Safety, Lachumiere,Shillong.

The Members of the committee also had their meeting subsequently which arrived at some conclusion with regard to the future course of action.

This committee has been formed to review the existing reservation policy as existing in the State of Meghalaya.

The next meeting of the committee is scheduled in the Month of April, 2024.
