Emlang Laloo was arrested for alleged sexually assaulting a 9-year-old minor girl.

Police said that a woman lodged a written complaint on May 17 stating that Emlang Laloo had sexually assaulted her 9-year-old daughter on two occasions in 2023 at his residence while they were staying as tenants.

Police said, a case has been registered under Jowai PS C/No 31(5)24 u/s 3(b)/4 POCSO. The accused was arrested on the same day and is currently undergoing treatment at NEIGRIHMS, Shillong, as referred by the medical officer.
