Electoral rolls for Nongstoin, Rambrai Jyrngam and Mawshynrut assembly constituencies ready for inspection

The Electoral Registration Officers of  32- Nongstoin (ST), 33- Rambrai Jyrngam (ST)  and 34 -Mawshynrut (ST) Assembly Constituencies has informed that the photo electoral rolls has been  prepared in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, and a copy thereof is available for inspection at the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Election)West Khasi Hills District and at the designated Polling Stations during office hours.

The qualifying date for the preparation of the electoral roll is 1^st January 2024.

If, with reference to the above said qualifying date, there may be any claim for the inclusion of a name in the roll or any objection to the inclusion of name or any objection to particulars in any entry, it should be lodge on or before the 9^th December, 2023 in Form 6, 6B, 7 or 8 as may be appropriate.

Every such claim or objection should either be presented in the Office of the Electoral Registration Officer, or to the Assistant Electoral Officers of the designated Polling Station or sent by post to the Office of the Electoral Registration Officer so as to reach the office not later than the aforesaid date.

An eligible citizen, who is going to attain the age of 18 years on any of the subsequent qualifying dates in the year 2024, that is to say 1^st April 2024, 1^st July 2024 or 1^st October, 2024, may also file his or her claim for inclusion of his or her name in the roll, in Form- 6, in advance starting from the date of notice and the same shall be considered and decided in the respective quarter of the year with reference to the respective qualifying date.
