    The Election Commission of India has reiterated its warning against the use of children for any election related works in this ensuing Lok Sabha Elections.

    According to an official press release, the Commission said a per Section 3(1) of the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act,1986 as amended vide the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Amendment Act, 2016, no child shall be employed or permitted to work in any occupation or process.

    The Commission has also taken strong exception to use of children in any way in election related work.
