EKHCA defeat EWKHDCA by 6 wickets in MCA U-16 Tournament

East Khasi Hills Cricket Association (EKHCA) defeated EWKHDCA by 6 wickets in the MCA Under-16 Boys Inter District Tournament 2025, played at Madan Thad Mukhla Mission Ground on Friday.

Batting first, EWKHDCA were bowled out for 84 runs in 24.5 overs. Captain Andrewstarfield Rani was the top scorer with a patient 31 runs, holding the innings together as wickets kept falling at the other end. EKHCA’s Pynkhraw Jomati bowled a tight spell, picking up 3 wickets for just 13 runs, while Menang Shangpliang also took 3 wickets and kept the pressure on.

Chasing 85 for victory, EKHCA got off to a strong start. Menang Shangpliang continued his fine form, scoring 31 runs with calm and control. Danlyson Bareh supported him well with an unbeaten 28, guiding the team to 85/4 in just 18.3 overs. Jopshwa L Mawnai was the most effective bowler for EWKHDCA, taking 3 wickets.
