EKH admin issues advisory on encroachment of RoW of NH 40

The district administration of East Khasi Hills on Wednesday issued an advisory in view of encroachment of the right of way of National Highway (NH) 40.

The advisory said that all temporary structures coming along the road that fall within the encroachment area are to be immediately dismantled.

It also warned that any sales of land along the right of way, will be at the risk of the buyer and the seller.

Further, the district administration has requested the village headmen not to issue any land documents unless an NOC from PWD dept has been obtained for property lying adjacent to the national highway.
