EKH admin declares Khyndailad-Umsohsun stretch complete pedestrian zone

The district administration of East Khasi Hills on Tuesday has declared the stretch from Khyndailad towards Umsohsun as a complete Pedestrian Zone from 4pm to 9pm with effect from August 13.

No Entry of vehicles will be allowed during the said timing, Deputy Commissioner RM Kurbah said.

 This order, which was issued based on government instructions, will come into force with effect from August 13, she said.

This also came after the state government had on July 24 successfully relocated hawkers to the first floor of the MUDA parking lot in Khyndailad, Shillong.
