    Muslims in Jowai celebrated Eid-Ul-Zuha, also known as Bakra-Id or Bakrid which is a feast of sacrifice on Thursday.

    Hundreds of Muslims in Jowai gathered at the mosque for prayers and exchanged greetings with loved ones.

    Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma in his tweet said, “I wish the Muslim community celebrating this festival a blessed Eid filled with happiness, peace, and prosperity. May the spirit of this Eid, with its message of solidarity and unity, remind everyone of the importance of giving and compassion.”
