Educational Institutions to remain closed in Shillong for smooth movement of polling teams

In view of the General Elections to the Lok Sabha 2024, the Deputy Commissioner East Khasi Hills District directed that all Private and Government Educational Institutions/ Schools/ Colleges/ ITI under Shillong Urban Areas to remain closed on Thursday being the Movement Day for all polling parties within 1-Shillong (ST) Parliamentary Constituency.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the District School Education Officer, East Khasi Hills District and all Principals/Registrars/Controlling authorities of concerned educational institutions to ensure compliance of the order.
