Education Minister lays foundation stone for new Circuit House and LP School in Amlarem

Meghalaya Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui on Monday laid the foundation stone for construction of new Circuit House and Govt. LP School Building in Amlarem Subdivision, Amlarem.

J U Kharpuri, ADC, Incharge Amlarem Civil Sub-Division, in her welcome informed that the fund for the circuit house is sanctioned by PWD and the LP school from the Border area fund.

In his address, Lahkmen thanked Comingone Ymbon for his vital support and the initiative taken when he was the minister of General Administration Development (GAD) and PWD for the sanctioned of Circuit House at Amlarem Civil Sub-Division, he further added that the circuit house will serve the purpose, eased the work of the officers coming from outside the Subdivision and hopes that it will boost the spirit and dedication of the Officers and staffs of the Civil Sub- Division. He further added that besides the scenic beauty, the natural resources available various other Government Developmental works have taken place and are still taking place under Amlarem Subdivision. 

He hopes that with the construction of the new school building the teachers along with the students will be able to perform better. He called for support of all to cooperate and facilitate the contractors so that construction work can be expedited and be completed in time.

VR Syiem, MCS, Director of Border Area Development Office, Shillong has informed that the Department has sanctioned 25 lakhs for the construction of the LP School and requested the school management committee to complete the construction in time for the benefit of the students.

P Lhuid, Executive Engineer PWD Building, Jowai has informed that 3 core 25 lakhs is being sanctioned for the construction of Circuit House, it will consist  of  6 rooms and one VIP suite, Kitchen and a dining hall.

A Syiem, District School Education Officer, Jowai in her short speech thanked the Education Minister for taking the initiative to reconstruct the depilated Amlarem Government L. P School, established in the year 1974. 

The programme was presided over by Jonathan Shylla, EAC, Amlarem Civil Subdivision.
