    The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), East Jaintia Hills District will join the other districts of Meghalaya in the State Level Mock Exercise on Earthquake and Landslide Scenario organized by the Meghalaya State Disaster Management Authority (MSDMA), Shillong in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), New Delhi on October 12 from 9:00 AM onwards.

    The Mock Exercise will involve the participation of stakeholders including Government Departments, Police, Fire & Emergency Services, Community Leaders, Educational Institutions, Volunteers and others.

    In East Jaintia Hills District, the identified locations for the affected sites include residential areas under Khliehriat West Village, office of the BDO, Khliehriat Block, Khliehriat Presbyterian Secondary School, Khliehriat, Civil Hospital, Khliehriat, 1 India Family Mart, Khliehriat, Dkhiah Service Station, Dkhiah and Meghalaya Cements Ltd, Thangskai.
