    In an effort to enhance citizen empowerment and provide easy access to information, AK Singh, IAS, SDO (Sadar), East Jaintia Hills, District, Khliehriat under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat on Thursday launched a Whatsapp Chatbot known as the “EJHD Assistant Bot” at the video conference room, Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Khliehriat.

    AK Singh, IAS, SDO (Sadar), East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat informed that the EJHD Assistant Bot is specifically designed to cater to the needs of the people of the district, offering a wide range of information regarding various services, scholarships, grants etc. provided by various Government Departments/ Offices such as the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Block Development Office, Office of the District Social Welfare Officer, and Office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner’s Office, among others.

    “The services provided through this chatbot encompass a diverse array of offerings from obtaining ST Certificates, E-Shram registration, and Aadhaar services to acquiring EPIC cards, addressing public grievances, obtaining necessary permissions, accessing disaster relief assistance, and exploring government insurance schemes, the EJHD Assistant Bot covers it all”, AK Singh added.

    Furthermore, to access this convenient service, individuals need to send a Whatsapp message saying “Hi” to 9233515972 and once the conversation begins; the users can select from a comprehensive list of services and choose their desired options. The Chatbot will also provide information on the required documents for a particular service, step-by-step guide on how to avail the service, and the option to connect with the government officials/ staff for any further inquiries or assistance.
