East Jaintia Hills District declared dry days during Assam elections

The Deputy Commissioner (Excise), East Jaintia Hills District has declared dry days from 4:00 PM of 24th April, 2024 to 26th April, 2024 and on 4th June, 2024 (being the date of counting of votes) in the entire area of East Jaintia Hills District in order to ensure peaceful, free and fair conduct of General Election to the Lok Sabha in the state of Assam.

All Wholesalers, IMFL retailers, Bars, Canteens and Out-stills shall remain closed in the entire area of East Jaintia Hills District on the above- mentioned dates.

Any violation of the order will be viewed seriously, added the order of the I/c Deputy Commissioner (Excise).
