    East Jaintia Hills District Administration on Saturday has reimposed Containment Measures in entire district from 4 PM of June 7 till 5 PM June 14.

    The order was issued in view that the number of COVID-19 cases in the district is still high and there is a significant spread in the village of the districtand inorder to safeguard from an uncontrollable surge in COV1D -19 cases.

    The District Magistrate, E Kharmalki in his order issued has restricted Inter-State movement of persons. This will not apply for transit vehicles of Assam / Tripura / Manipur / Mizoram.

    Political, public social and religious gatherings are not permitted including conferences, meetings and trainings.

    Entry of tourists from outside the State shall not be permitted and all tourist spots shall remain closed.

    Authorized home deliveries services, E-commerce activities and courier services are permitted subject to prior permission and regulations by the office of the district magistrate

    In-situ Construction works for Government Projects that does not involve movement of labour are permitted with due permission from the district magistrate.

    In-situ Construction works of Private Projects that does not involve movement of labor are permitted subject to prior permission due regulation of the district magistrate.

    Stand alone locality shops will bc permitted from 2 PM to 6 PM only with strict protocols/advisories and to be regulated by the dorbar shnong/VDPs.

    Limited non-essential economic activities are permitted on recommendation of the Block Development Officer Khliehriat/Saipung where the prevalence of active COVID-I9 case is NIL or very low.

    Funeral gathering will be restricted to 20 (Twenty) persons with prior permission of the district magistrate.

    Weddings not permitted.

    Sports activities arc not permitted.

    Major markets Areas of Khliehriat East & West, whole of Ladrymbai, Umpleng, Chiehruphi, Lumshnong, Sohkymphor, Sookilo, Saipung, Samasi, Jalaphet, Rymbai, Wapung, Sutnga, Bataw,Mynkre and Umkiang markets shall remain close during the containment measures period except medical stops.

    All major markets are allowed to open only on 07.06.2021 (Monday), 09.06.2021 (Wednesday) and 11.06.2021 (Friday).

    Roadsides dhabas/Tea shops services are permitted only take away services.

    Exemptions:

    Health services including emergency services and vaccination.

    Medicines and Pharmaceuticals.

    Movement of goods

    Persons travelling on Essential Government Duty viz;

    Medical Teams and officials on COVID-19 Duty

    Police security and Armed forces

    Civil defence

    Fire and Emergency Services.

    NDRF, SDRF, MePDCL, POWERGRID, PHE, Public Distribution System, DIPR personnel, Telecommunication services, Print & Electronic Media,Petrol Pumps, Nowel Gas and Bharat Gas Distributors.

    Farming activities (including betel nut and betel leaf)

    MGNREGA activities

    Essential Veterinary services including feed and fodder movement for livestock for farmers,

    Fishery including feed and movement of fish lings

    State Government offices as notified by Personnel & AR (A) Department and those subsequently permitted by Personnel & AR (A) Department shall function with limited staff and to be determined by the Head of offices

    All banks in the District are permitted to open from 07.06 2021 to 19.06.2021 with limited staff. They are to close by 4 PM

    All post offices are permitted to open from 07.06.2021 to 19.06.201 with limited staff.

    All schools and colleges shall continue with the online classes.
