    The Deputy Commissioner (Excise), East Khasi Hills, and the District Magistrate, West Jaintia Hills, have declared April 18, 2025, as a Dry Day in their respective districts on account of Good Friday.

    In East Khasi Hills, all bonded warehouses, micro-breweries, IMFL “OFF” and “ON” shops, homemade wine licensed premises, wine and beer bars, home delivery licensed premises, canteens, and outstills shall remain closed.

    In West Jaintia Hills, all IMFL licensed premises (wholesale and retail), bars, canteens, country spirit shops including outstills, and home delivery services shall remain closed.
