Drug trafficker arrested with heroin in East Jaintia Hills

An inter-state trafficker was arrested with heroin at Lumshnong in East Jaintia Hills District on Tuesday morning.

Abdul Kuddus Laskar from Assam was arrested from one night super bus bearing registration number AS 01 FC 8299, police said.

From his possession, 42 soap boxes were recovered. Preliminary test results showed positive for heroin and the net weight of the contraband is 458 grams, they said.

A criminal case under the NDPS Act is being taken up against inter-state trafficker.
