Dr WR Kharlukhi tested positive for Covid-19

Dr. WR Kharlukhi, member of Rajya Sabha and State President of National People’s Party Meghalaya, has tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

National People’s Party Spokesperson, Marcuise N. Marak said “Shri Kharlukhi has isolated himself and is taking care of his health. He has requested that anyone who has come into contact with him in the last five days should keep a watch on their health and if necessary, get tested.”

According to health minister, AL Hek, the health condition of Kharlukhi is stable and is asymptomatic.

He said contact tracing is being done and all high risk contacts are requested to go for self isolation.

This also came four days after NPP national president and chief minister Conrad K Sangma had tested positive for COVID-19.
