  • Diengdoh inaugurates the pre-recruitment coaching cum training for angiveer candidates

    The District Administration East Khasi Hills District on Monday commenced the pre-recruitment coaching cum training for Agniveer Candidates (Indian Army) at KJP Synod Girls Higher Secondary School Mawkhar.

    The 45 days coaching program aims at providing guidance to the Agniveer Candidates to appear the Common Entrance Exams which is scheduled in June end or July 1st Week 2025.

    The inaugural session was graced by Commisisoner and Secretary, GAD Cyril Diengdoh in presence of deputy commissioner R M Kurbah, Col Vinay Kumar, Director Army Recruitment Office, S Warjri, MCS Additional DC and Lt Col (Retd) S Marbaniang, Zila Sainik Welfare Officer.

    Addressing the aspiring candidates, Cyril Diengdoh highlighted the significance of joining the Indian Army not only as a career option but also as an opportunity to young people to become disciplined, respected and honourable.

    He encouraged the candidates to attend the coaching and training regularly to enable them to clear both the Common Entrance Exam and Physical fitness test.

    Col Vinay Kumar briefed the candidates about Agniveer as a career choice and also shared valuable inputs about the selection criteria, syllabus, recruitment process, benefits etc.

    In her speech, R M Kurbah, Deputy Commissioner pointed out that the free coaching cum training is a systematic approach by the District Administration to provide the candidates with the required knowledge and skills to clear the Entrance exams and physical test. She urged the candidates to be diligent in attending the coaching classes and training so that they can all become part of the Indian army one day. Those who clear the written Entrance exams will be given a 30’days intensive physical training as well.
