NPP national general secretary and deputy chief minister Sniawbhalang Dhar on Monday asked the people to reject political leaders, who are nothing but empty vessels.

Speaking at an election campaign at Mukroh village in West Jaintia Hills district, Dhar said, “Though he does not wish to speak anything against other political parties but the fact is that Congress is like person, who is in the ICU, the UDP is like pond fish, VPP is one which claims that its agenda is to love jaidbynriew but the fact is that NPP is only party which really loves the jaidbynriew. I urge the people that they should avoid leaders, who are empty vessels.”

“There is no infightings within the NPP as it is blessed with leaders who has principles,” he added.

Appealing to the people to vote for party candidate from Barato-Mukroh Aiborlang Shadap, Dhar said, “Mukroh should be wise enough to elect your representative. I don’t think they will make mistake because the government has never neglected border villages and by you electing an MDC, who is part of the government, it will be easier for us to address your problems. However, if you make a mistake it will be like building a bridge without a river. Therefore, I urge you to vote for a double engine government as we want to ensure all round development of the people of the constituency.”

“If other candidates come and try to influence you with so many promises, do not believe them because only the government can give you developmen and your vote is valid for five years,” he added.
