    JOWAI: The Kiang Nangbah Govt College Students Union today demanded the introduction of Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Social Work Course in the college.

    In a memorandum submitted to Meghalaya Education Minister Lakmen Rymbui, the KNGCSU said that the college premises housed a football field, a basketball court, a badminton court, a volleyball court and an auditorium to give ample facilities to nits student for extra –curricular activities.

    They also said that there are 15 department with a staff strength of about 138 (94 teaching and 44 support staff). The college at present caters to over 3000 student including the morning section, which offers degree courses in Humanities.

    According to the memorandum, they demanded a Mini Stadium as the College Playground is not at all in a right size and shape as it is filling with pits and pebbles.

    They also requested to the extend the construction of Gallery for accommodating more students during any sports and games events.

    The College students leaders lamented that the college building has not been painted since many year’s and they demanded painting of the college buildings.

    ” Footpath is the another issue to be construct, because if will be saved for each and everyone if footpath is to be made, so that students can wake on the footpath will also being cleanliness and will be looking tidy,” they said while demanding construction of footpaths.
