DDUCC felicitates Prof. SM Sungoh for her dedicated service

Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Community College (DDUCC) for Skill Development held a heartfelt felicitation ceremony on June 24 to honour Prof. (Mrs.) S.M. Sungoh (Retd.) on her retirement as Principal In-Charge, recognising her outstanding service from March 2, 2023, to May 31, 2025.

Held at the Golden Jubilee Community Hall, Wahiajer, the event was attended by students, faculty, villagers, and guests, including Chief Guest Prof. Ibadani I. Syiem, Controller of Examinations, NEHU, and Guest of Honour Prof. H. Lamin (Retd.), the college’s founding Principal I/c.

Speeches highlighting Prof. Sungoh’s impactful contributions were delivered by representatives from the student body, college staff, and the farming community. Local leaders and guests commended her efforts in promoting community development and skill-based education. A symbolic handover to the new Principal In-Charge, Dr. F.R. Sumer, was marked by a handshake and a prayer by Pastor Reveal Singh Phawa.

In her farewell speech, Prof. Sungoh expressed gratitude to the DDUCC family and encouraged continued growth, innovation, and collaboration. She envisioned a future where DDUCC evolves into a vibrant skill development hub. Her address concluded with a personal poem and the donation of a microwave oven for college use.

The event ended with musical tributes, gift presentations, and a vote of thanks by Programme Coordinator Wolnish Rymbai.
