CTE Shillong felicitates outstanding teachers and B.Ed. rank holders

The College of Teacher Education (PGT) Shillong held a Felicitation Program on August 30 to honour five Outstanding Teachers and seven meritorious students who excelled in the B.Ed. Examination 2025.

The event was graced by Shakliar Warjri, Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Meghalaya, as the Chief Guest. In his address, Warjri spoke about the challenges of life and the teaching profession, stressing the values of perseverance and dedication. He attributed his own journey of success to God, his parents, and his teachers, underscoring the crucial role educators play in shaping lives. He also wished the students a successful future, urging them to pursue excellence in all fields.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to holistic development, the Minister assured support for strengthening sports infrastructure at the college, with a special focus on upgrading the gymnasium.

Dr. (Mrs.) B. Tron, Principal of the College, congratulated the awardees and urged the Minister to extend further support from the Sports Department to enhance sports facilities and promote student wellness.

The ceremony also featured a vibrant cultural program with songs and dances by student-teachers, making the event a celebration of academic excellence, creativity, and commitment.
