The Central Puja Committee (CPC) Meghalaya on Friday wrote to the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District with an appeal to re-open the Mawjymbuin cave for devotees in the month of “Shravana” ( June-July, 2025).

The CPC stated that the re-opening of the cave is to declare the Cave as a Religious Tourist Spot to attract the International Religious Tourists.

According to the CPC, the Cave is known as a Religious Tourist Place and in 2002 more than 200 ISKCON Devotees from all over the world visited Shillong and they performed Puja in the Cave.
