Covishield vaccine price rates and a promise of availability in retail market

The Serum Institute of India (SII) made promise that the vaccine will be available in the retail market and free trade in 4-5 months as they announced the rates for Covisheild for government and private hospitals.

SII informed that due to the complexity and urgency of the situation in the country, it is difficult to supply each corporate entity independently.

The world’s largest vaccine manufacturer (SII) made the announcement after the Ministry of Health and Finance called for the country’s vaccine drive to be accelerated. Serum Institute of India (SII) stated that scaling up of vaccine production would help to alleviate the shortage of vaccines.

According to media statement, SII said that going ahead in the next two months, 50% of the capacities will be served to the Government of India’s vaccination program and the remaining 50% of the capacity will be for the State governments and private hospitals.
