COVID-19: Two more tests positive

Two more persons have been tested positive for coronavirus while two have recovered from the infection on Wednesday.

Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said the two new cases include 1 in East Khasi Hills and 1 in West Jaintia Hills. With this, he said the total active cases stand at 572.

East Khasi Hills has 478 cases that include 241 BSF, 203 civilians and 34 armed forces.

There are 44 in Ri Bhoi, 15 East Jaintia Hills, 14 West Jaintia Hills, 13 West Garo Hills, 4 West Khasi Hills and 4 South West Garo Hills.

Four districts – South West Khasi Hills, South Garo Hills, North Garo Hills and East Garo Hills – have now registered zero cases of coronavirus.

Dr War informed two more patients from BSF have recovered taking the total recoveries to 209.
