Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday announced that #Meghalaya will begin the vaccination drive for 18-44 years from May 14.

Conrad said the 42,000 doses ordered by the State Govt. will arrive tomorrow. Vaccines will be earmarked for vulnerable districts and the Health Department will strategize the Vaccination drive.

He said the back-up mechanism for the bed capacity is also ready at IIM with 300 beds (100 with oxygen concentrators) and Umsawli with 100 beds (40 beds equipped with oxygen concentrators).

The Vaccination Drive for 45 and above stands at 37-38% to date.

He requests all citizens to take personal ownership and ensure they get themselves vaccinated. Apart from wearing masks and following Covid Appropriate Behaviour, vaccination plays a crucial role in protection from #Covid19. He also urges citizens to come forward for vaccination.
