  • COVID-19 | Containment order lifted from 8 areas in Shillong

    The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District on Wednesday has withdrawn the containment order from various localities in Shillong.

    The areas that have been unsealed are:

    All the 35 households from the residence of Jagdish Ray till the residence of Ravinder Ray at Pdengshnong, Golflink.  

    House of Mr. K.B. Thapa, Rilbong Nepali Compound,

    The Quarter of Dr. Mrs. Anjali D. Sangma, Rilbong.

    GAD Quarter No. 2, Near Sankardev Women’s Hostel.

    Rented premises of Smti Mei Ying Nongkhlaw at Madanrting Lumbasuk Block-A

    Households of tenants of Smti Ridalang Pyrbot,  tenants of Smti Virginia Dkhar and Mr Jarnar Khongsti at Lumjingsuk, Madanrting Block-A.

    Mrs Pinora Khongwir located at Madanrting Block – C. 

    Apartment of Mrs. Jharna Paul, tenant of Chinmoy Paul, Near Sankardev Women’s Hostel, Rilbong.

    In a separate order, the District Magistrate after the detection of COVID-19 positive cases has declared more houses as a micro containment zone in Laban. Mawlonghat and Lower Jail Road.

    The new micro containment are namely:

    The top floor of the building of Shri T. Passah, Suna Villa, N D Lane, Laban, the fourth and fifth floor of the building of Smti S. L. Ryntathiang, Near Unitarian Church, Madan Laban (Rum).

    Flat of  Shri Biswajit Das (tenant) in the top floor of Narayan Bhavan, Riat Laban.

    In the houses of Vishal Singh Mawrie and Ajay Singh located at Sweepers Lane, Mawlonghat.

    Ruma Adhikari Guest House at Lower Jail Road.
