    To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the District Magistrate, West Jaintia Hills on Monday directed all Public Offices in West Jaintia Hills District including Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council, Jowai, Banks etc to maintain visitors register indicating names, address and contact number of the visitors in their offices.

    The order was issued in view of the prevailing situation of COVID-I9 in the Country and globally,  the Health Department has imposed certain restrictions in order to prevent spread of the virus.

    Meanwhile the District Magistrate, West Jaintia Hills has also directed all families where there is a death to keep a register maintaining the name, address and mobile number of all people who paid their homage to the belated family member.

    In addition to the Standard Operating Procedure for operation of Public Offices issued by Ministry of Home Afairs, Government of India and Health and Family Welfare Department, to be strictly observed and followed.
