  • Covid-19: Army hospitals opening up to civilians in India

    To assist with Covid-19 management, the Indian Army is opening its hospitals to civilians wherever possible. This is one of the initiatives spearheaded by Army Chief of Staff General MM Naravane in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

    In a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, General MM Naravane informed the PM that medical staff of the Army is being made available to various state governments.

    He also briefed the PM that Army is setting up temporary hospitals in various parts of the country. 

    General MM Naravane also informed the PM that the Army is helping with manpower for imported Oxygen tankers and vehicles where specialized skills are required to manage them.
