    The District Magistrate East Khasi Hills District has declared 4 new houses as micro containment on Friday.

    House No. 29 of Smti. A Syiemlieh, Nongrimbah, the outhouse of Brightwell Bungalow Quarter No.4 opposite to Lady Hydari Park and the house and compound of Amila Sawkmie at Oxford Hills has been sealed on Friday after the detection of positive COVID-19 cases.

    In Pdengshnong, Lower Mawprem, house of Shri R. Kharjana was designated as micro-containment area.

    The order restrict unregulated entry and exit in the affected areas which requires contact tracing, testing and isolation to be effected in the interest of health of general public to prevent against any possible spread of COVID-19

    The District Magistrate has also lifted the containment order for the house of Shri S. Roy (tenant) in the compound of Smti B. Nongkhlaw, Howell Road Laban, house of Smti P. Lyngdoh (tenant) in the building of Smti S. Khongjee, Anand Bhavan, Howell Road Laban, houses of Roma Devkota, Pooja Thapa and Mrs. Sushila Gewali at Nepali compound, Rilbong and the apartment of Mrs. Pronoti Choudhary, Chinmoy Paul building at Rilbong (near Beat House), house of Shri L. Lyngdoh Mawphlang (tenant)  in the building of K.C Bairo, Lawsohtun Block-5, the apartment of Mr. P. N Jaiswal, tenant of L.B Rapthap, Bishnupur, the house of Gopal Thapa, Nepali Compound, Rilbong, the building of Mrs. D. Wahlang opposite to ‘Sterian Rynjah Store’, New Kench’s Trace, Bishnupur and the house of Mrs. Champa Das Gupta, Rilbong with immediate effect.
