The Chief Secretary MS Rao on Monday said that the effective date of registration for people who visited Bethany Hospital, Shillong is March 24 and not March 22.

In a clarification issued here, the Chief Secretary informed that though initially the effective registration date was announced on March 22, however, after subsequent investigations it was revealed that March 24 will be the effective date.

The Chief Secretary stated that home quarantine and registration for the new App CORONTINE is made effective with effect from March 24 and not March 22 as notified earlier and those who visited Bethany Hospital, Shillong on 22nd and 23rd March, 2020 need not observe home quarantine anymore and need not register in the new CORONTINE App.

Hence, all those who visited Bethany Hospital, Shillong on or after March 24, are requested to download the CORONTINE App and for Bethany Hospital, Nongpoh there is no change, besides, the effective date is March 30, as notified earlier, added the Chief Secretary.
