    The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District has directed Eee Cee Hotel and Restaurant at Police Bazar, Shillong to temporarily remain closed after the detection of positive COVID-19 cases.

    The closure order issued on Monday based on the report received that a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 was in Eee Cee Hotel and Restaurant, Police Bazar, Shillong. To complete the contact tracing, testing and isolation, as well as containment is to be effected in the interest of health of general public to prevent against any possible spread of COVID-19 the restaurant has been directed to closed until further orders.

    The District Administration has also declared 9 new micro containment areas in the capital city as they require contact tracing, testing and isolation to be effected in the interest of health of general public to prevent against any possible spread of COVID-19.

    The following is the list of active COVID-19 micro containment areas:
    House of Shri J. Myrthong, Laban Masjid Road opposite Elswer School
    House of (Late) Smti D. Wahlang, Howell Road, Laban 
    The Quarter of Mr. Sengrak Ch. Momin GAD Quarter No.5 near Sankardev Women’s Hostel, Rilbong
    The compound of Sumarlin Kharsati at Jaiaw Laitdom
    State Bank of India RASMECC, 2nd Floor, Shillong
    House of Malook Singh, Vikram Singh and Raj Kumar Singh located at Garoline, Shillong
    Hill Vista Building of Mrs. Merilda Suting located at Upland Road, Laitumkhrah, Shillong

    The areas that have been unsealed are:
    House of Shri Pradeep Chakraborty (tenant) in the compound of Shri K. Pal, Lower Harisabha, Laban
    First floor of building of Smti G. Rani, ABP Road, Iewdak, Laban, Shillong
    First floor of the building of Smti A. M. Rynjah, Madan Laban (Shilliang) 
    Apartment of Mrs. Sunita Sohtun Building of Shri L. B. Rapthap opposite Benz Residency, Central Bishnupur
    House of Shri P. Dey, Mynsain, Upper Lumparing
    Room No. 101 and Room No. 202 in the building of Dr. Sunita Shylla at Wahdienglieng 
    House of Shambu Rawat, Upper Maxwelton Estate, Oxford Hills, Rilbong 
    House of Subaun Kharkongor, Lumsohphoh, Upper Lumparing.
