Cool relief, warm hearts: Zaloni Ladies Club powers up Tengakhat hospital

In a heartfelt gesture blending community service with practical impact, Zaloni Ladies Club (ZLC) donated 10 wall-mounted fans to Tengakhat MG Model Hospital on Tuesday. The move aims to boost patient comfort and improve conditions within the facility—especially during the scorching summer months.
Leading the donation, ZLC president Geety Rekha Phukan was joined by secretary Mouchumi Rajkumari and executive members Jyoti Singha and Gitalee Gogoi. The fans were officially handed over to hospital authorities in a brief ceremony attended by Dr. Rashmi Thakuria, SDMO, Tengakhat BPHC; Dr. Sanghamitra Bora, deputy superintendent of the hospital; and Dr. Leena Das, medical officer, Duliajan Urban PHC.
Founded in 1962, Zaloni Ladies Club has a deep-rooted legacy of empowering women and uplifting underserved communities through education, healthcare access, and nutritional initiatives. This latest act reinforces their commitment to grassroots impact and human dignity.
ZLC office bearers affirmed their dedication to continuing such initiatives that directly improve lives and uphold the values of service, compassion, and inclusive growth.
