  • Containment order lifted from 15 houses in Shillong

    The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District has lifted the containment order from 15 houses in Shillong. 

    The areas that have been unsealed are:

    House of Roshan Ali, Altaf Hussain, Asmad Alam and Zalim Alam in Suleiman compound, Lumdiengjri.

    Smti Brina Mawrie, Smti Adeline Kharkongor and Smti Baiamonlang Khongwir at Pohktieh, Nongthymmai. However, the remaining area contained as orders issued earlier is still retain as a micro containment area. 

    Houses of  Smti Tina Warjri of Khliehshnong, Malki.

    Miss Mano Lyngdoh at Lawjynriew Rngi Rum.

    (Late) Smti Minati Chakraborty, Laban Last Stop, near Purbasha Guest House.

    Residences of Dr. Syrpailang Kharlukhi at Dhankheti, Malki, Bernadino Mawkhiew at Chinapatty, Malki.

    House of Smti June Dkhar in Lawjynriew, Rngi Neng,

    The first and second floor of the building of Dr A.K. Das, near Hope Clinic, Pine Mount Ridge, Laban.

    The house of Joginder Singh, tenant of Mohan Veer Kaur, AGYA Cottage, near Meghalaya Guardian Office, Lower Lachumiere.               

    In another order, the District Magistrate has declared 5 more houses and flat as new micro containment.

    This include the house of Smti S. Roy, Harisabha, Laban and flat No. 9 (Second floor), P. M. Cottage, Laban East Road. House of Moonlight and Mina Chettri and Starly Wanniang at Lower Mawprem and in the compound of Smti Bertimon Mairom, Lawmali Pyllun, Block-II.
